We'd like to tell you about our Church, Sunday School, and Reading Room and how these can help to bring peace and happiness into your life.
Church Services
We hope you'll join us regularly for these one-hour services that uplift and heal.
Sunday at 10 a.m.
This service includes readings from the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, hymns, prayer, and the weekly Bible Lesson-Sermon as used by Christian Science churches throughout the world.
Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
The Wednesday meeting includes readings from the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures that pertain to a topic of current interest, plus hymns, and informal testimonies given by those who have been healed or helped in Christian Science.
Child Care
Children too young to attend our Sunday School or church services are lovingly cared for in our children's room.
Sunday School
This is a joyful place where children and young people up to the age of 20 learn more about God. They are taught beloved Bible stories, and how to maintain the moral and spiritual standards of the Ten Commandments and the Sermon on the Mount. These lessons enable the student to handle problems such as relationships, illness, drugs, or educational challenges.
The textbooks used are the King James version of the Bible and the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy.
A precious gift is given to each child -- to know God. A student learns to acknowledge His loving ever-presence and turn to God for guidance and protection in times of trouble.
Sunday School starts at 10 a.m. and lasts one hour, the same time as the Sunday church service.
Reading Room
Everyone is welcome to use our public Reading Room, which is a library as well as a quiet place to study and pray.
The study room is a place to read the Bible and our other textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures. Other Christian Science publications explain how people have been helped and healed through their study of the Bible and Christian Science. Bible commentaries, dictionaries, and other study aids are also available for your use.
The sales room has a selection of books, pamphlets, and CD's for sale, or you may borrow items from our free lending library. Many items are of special interest to children and are suitable as gifts.
Reading Room hours are:
Wednesday 10:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. and 6:30 - 7:30 p.m.
Saturday 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
The Reading Room is located on the southeast side of the church building at 2512 North 9th Street in Sheboygan.
Of Special Interest
Radio broadcasts of the Christian Science Sentinel radio program are sponsored by this Church. The programs may be heard every Sunday morning at 8:00 on WHBL, 1330 on the AM dial and are available later for listening to in our Reading Room.
